New Delhi: The total market capitalization of seven out of the ten most valuable companies surged by ₹1,06,250.95 crore last week, with Bajaj Finance and Reliance Industries leading the gains, reflecting a positive trend in the stock market.
During the previous week, the BSE index rose by 901.11 points, equivalent to a 1.12% increase, while the Nifty index climbed 314.15 points, marking a 1.28% rise.
Among the top ten firms, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, and LIC saw their valuations increase, whereas TCS, Infosys, and Hindustan Unilever experienced declines.
Bajaj Finance's valuation soared by ₹37,960.96 crore, reaching ₹5,83,451.27 crore.
Reliance Industries added ₹23,343.51 crore to its valuation, bringing it to ₹18,59,767.71 crore.
HDFC Bank's market capitalization increased by ₹17,580.42 crore to ₹14,78,444.32 crore, while LIC's valuation rose by ₹15,559.49 crore to ₹5,54,607.42 crore.
State Bank of India's market cap grew by ₹4,246.09 crore to ₹7,44,864.69 crore, and Bharti Airtel's valuation edged up by ₹4,134.02 crore to ₹10,81,347.25 crore.
ICICI Bank's valuation increased by ₹3,426.46 crore, reaching ₹10,01,717.42 crore.
Conversely, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) saw a decline in its market valuation by ₹13,007.02 crore, bringing it down to ₹11,02,955.89 crore.
Infosys's market cap fell by ₹10,427.47 crore to ₹6,00,036.47 crore, and Hindustan Unilever's valuation decreased by ₹6,296.91 crore to ₹6,18,694.37 crore.
Currently, Reliance Industries holds the title of the most valuable company, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, and LIC.
